It is with great excitement that we share with you Ben Grow has joined the Electroline team as a Solutions Consultant. If the name sounds familiar, it’s because Ben’s mom, Molly, dedicated over 30 incredible years to Electroline, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and heart. We’re excited to see Ben continue that tradition and bring his own talents to the team.
In this blog, you’ll get to know Ben—his background, passions, professional expertise, and what he’s most excited to bring to the future of Electroline.
I attended UW-Madison (Go Badgers!), where I earned my bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. Before this, I worked in manufacturing for various industries, including food and beverage, and industrial equipment.
Outside work, I enjoy reading, snowboarding, camping, and lifting weights. I also love to learn, understand why, and ask “how?”, so I will be busy getting to know this industry from top to bottom. That said, I am very optimistic and excited to be the first engineer at Electroline. I think this will be a fun role to develop and grow in for both me and the business.
This role is a shift for me, but there are two main reasons for it. One is the industry. With the rapid rise of high-performance computing and cloud computing, Electroline is in a great position to facilitate this transition and provide excellent care for our customers. My second reason is the connections and the people. My mom, Molly Grow, worked for Electroline for 30+ years. Growing up, my mom would always talk about the people at Electroline. She seemed to care for them just as much as she cared for me. And it wasn’t just her coworkers; we would sometimes run into her vendors, customers, and even competitors at dinner or out shopping, and she would always greet them with the largest smile and the loudest laugh.
Through the years, I have attended countless family outings for Electroline, which is where this picture started to develop in my head—a picture of a community of people who really care for one another. Today, thinking back on it, I believe that culture comes from Electroline being a family business.
My Uncle, Glenn Higgins, frequently talks about connections and developing relationships. I see this in action every year at the Electroline Christmas party. Glenn talks to every employee and their loved ones. He doesn’t just exchange pleasantries, he asks about specifics in their lives, things that he either remembered from last year or heard in passing from their parent or spouse. This is what life (and business) is about and why I love the idea of joining Electroline. I aim to continue my mom and Glenn’s legacy as I build my own connections and relationships.
Ben’s story is a beautiful reminder that a business is only as strong as the relationships behind it. We couldn’t be more excited to see how he builds on the legacy of care, connection, and commitment that runs through his family and Electroline.
Please join us in welcoming Ben—you’ll be hearing (and seeing) more from him soon!
